The Dance Studio
At Virtuosity, we’ve created an environment in which students thrive. All instructors are technically extraordinary in their respective dance fields, and many have won industry awards and accolades for their choreography, artistry, creativity and innovation. Our instructors value the student-instructor dynamic, and their teaching styles are interactive, encouraging and charismatic, creating classes that students look forward to attending. Choreography and music are always age-appropriate and family-friendly.
At Virtuosity Performing Arts Studio, students develop great technical skill in the fine arts of dance and performance, all in a fun, positive, encouraging environment. We offer a full spectrum of dance styles and classes, so students can find just the right niche for themselves. Whether your child is a budding Creative Movement student, or a pre-professional with sites set on a career in the dance industry, Virtuosity will equip your dancer for success.
The depth of our dance curriculum spans from the classical ABT® National Training Curriculum for aspiring ballerinas, to the avant-garde award winning acro and contemporary pieces of our competitive teams. The Dance Season runs parallel to most school calendars, with classes beginning in mid-September and running through mid-June. Classes begin at age 2 1/2. From age 5 and up, students can take introductory classes or progress to hone their craft in our advanced and team classes.
Virtuosity has two locations, both of which operate in conjunction with our sister company, VEGA Gymnastics. Our studio in Camas has been described as “a little piece of New York, right here in Camas,” and is housed in a vintage school building, complete with 12’ ceilings, multiple windows and beautiful architectural arches. Students attend class in one of our two studios, with Marley flooring in our Ballet Studio A and tap-suitable flooring in Studio B. Our Vancouver campus, opening in the Fall of 2010, offers two additional dance studios, and is convienently located near I-205 and SR500, making it easily accessible from nearly anywhere in the Portland Vancouver metro area.
The Music Studio
Virtuosity is proud to present our music instruction program in piano, guitar and voice. From beginner through advanced studies, our instructors customize the curriculum for each student, making musical education fun and challenging. Private music lessons are available for individuals of all ages with limited group lessons for children.
Virtuosity Music is about teaching the love of music for a lifetime. Our program features amazing instructors who combine their love of music with many years of proficiency in their chosen instruments and in some instances with advanced degrees in their respective fields.
Virtuosity currently offers lesson times in classical acoustic guitar, electric guitar, beginner through advanced piano, and classical voice training, with woodwinds and drums instruction available upon request.
